Grapes Crop is one of the Main pillars of the Fruits production in Egypt, with an average area of 160,000 feddan. These areas are located around the Delta region, West Delta, upper Egypt with main objectives to fulfill the needs of the local and export market through several varieties: White varieties (Thompson seedless – superior seedless – Prime seedless) Colored varieties (Flame seedless – crimson seedless – Romy Seeded) These Varieties mostly produced during spring and summer season between May and August and endure Dormant in Autumn and winter. The total domestic production average of 1280000 tons ².Average Exports for 2015 was 80000 tons.

Fungal Diseases - Powdery Mildew

Symptoms:

Off white powdery spots on the leaves and young canes

Later the spots turn to yellowish gray color and decay ; symptoms later develop to bunches

Timing of infection

At early growth stage with cool weather and mild humidity

Proper application timing

Spray preventatively (or at early symptoms of infection)

Fungal Diseases - Downy Mildew

Symptoms:

Appear as Bright white spots on leaf surface; turn brown gradually with random shapes, mostly between leaf veins as well the spotted appear with white / grayish downy areas on the lower leaf surface

Timing of infection

At later growth stage with Hot weather and High humidity

Proper application timing

Spray preventatively (or at early symptoms of infection)
