Grapes Crop is one of the Main pillars of the Fruits production in Egypt, with an average area of 160,000 feddan ¹. These areas are located around the Delta region, West Delta, upper Egypt with main objectives to fulfill the needs of the local and export market through several varieties:
White varieties (Thompson seedless – superior seedless – Prime seedless)
Colored varieties (Flame seedless – crimson seedless – Romy Seeded)
These Varieties mostly produced during spring and summer season between May and August and endure Dormant in Autumn and winter.
The total domestic production average of 1280000 tons ².Average Exports for 2015 was 80000 tons ³

Fungal Diseases - Powdery Mildew

Symptoms:

Off white powdery spots on the leaves and young canes

Later the spots turn to yellowish gray color and decay ; symptoms later develop to bunches

Timing of infection

Symptoms:

Symptoms:

A brownish soft spots develop on fruit followed by watery oze
